Evidence-based pain education helps you be a better therapist

The number one reason why people come to see you as a massage therapist is because they are experiencing pain. And, their pain is impacting their ability to engage in activities that are important to them. Without a more comprehensive and modern understanding of pain, particularly the complexities of chronic pain, therapists and patients can be left frustrated and confused about what to do.

What you'll learn

Current pain science with a focus on neurophysiology and immune processes involved in chronic pain

How to let go of unhelpful ideas and practices that are ineffective in pain management

Communication skills, hands on ideas, and ways to incorporate self-management.

Case studies are discussed to highlight practical applications

I wanted to say thank you very much for continuing to produce excellent content for practitioners. Your courses are well thought out, well supported by the evidence, easy to navigate and I always learn a lot.  I also really respect your attitude towards not being an expert but trying to be a little less wrong. Thank you very much for continuing to push this profession forward.

I really want to express how great I think your courses are. I believe you've created a learning atmosphere that doesn't condemn those who have been clinging to some outdated ideas. Instead you let us know that is just a starting point. It lets us recognize some shortcomings, settle into the fact that we can doubt our past understanding (that's not a bad thing) and become intrigued by the current knowledge and discoveries in our field. Your courses are about evolving knowledge and I appreciate it.
